Alex is a qualified teacher, having gained a 1st Class BA Hons in Music Performance, alongside a distinction at Grade 8 vocals and use this knowledge to create individually tailored courses of lessons for each one of his students.
He likes to concentrate on helping his students build their technique, confidence in playing the piano by combining the music that the students enjoy listening to and with different exercises that he has built up over the years.
Alongside the private piano & singing tuition and continued work over the last four years at The Academy of Music and Sound in Exeter, Alex is also an active musician having played alongside performers such as The Levellers and Maddie Prior (Steeleye Span) at numerous festivals across the UK.
He was trained from a young age in Exeter Cathedral Choir and now offers lessons covering a huge array of different genres.
